Being a housewife in Connecticut has not been easy. I am absolutely appalled with Americans these days! What has the world come to!? These dirty hippies have no idea what they are doing to our nation and especially our children. The other day my little girl was jumping on her bed with paint under her eyes, a peace sign around her neck, and her hair a mess, listening to some terrible trash she calls music. My child has gone absolutely insane. Thank the lord I stopped her before she went over the drawn peace signs on her wall in marker. I yanked her by the pigtail and threw her outside to walk the dog while I scrubbed away at the silly peace symbols. They are corrupting our children, most importantly my child! and I can’t do anything about it.
I can’t believe what Americans are resulting to to get what they want out of the establishment. Keeping my daughter in the house forever would be wrong but exposing her to this crazy counterculture cannot be good for her health at all.
I feel there is always a time to stand up for your beliefs and what you want to see changed in the nation, but people are taking it way too far these days. They should just write in a diary like I do. It really does help me relieve all of the stress and beliefs I have on the war and protests and riots at this time. Protests seemed like a nice, uplifting experience but are taken too far when policemen and other civilians are hurt. We need to stick to the traditional ways of handling things. The peaceful way. Gosh I love that Nixon. He is a such smart man, a man of action but not too much action. I wouldn’t mind walking around one of those silly protests with a sign of my own stating Nixon’s lovely phrase that everyone should live by. “Peace with honor.” There is absolutely no honor in running around the town like wild monkeys protesting. They look like hooligans, people I wouldn’t ever want to converse with.
I don’t want to sound mean calling them hooligans or anything but they really do scare me (the hippies and especially the black panthers). These “panthers” walk around showing off their guns to scare and threaten people. I am even afraid to go grocery shopping out of the house…It really is lovely how they have the courage to stand up for rights but the reputation they are carrying with them is a scary threatening one. All of these people need to be escorted out of the country now and take their corruptness somewhere else, for it is not welcome here.
But what am I saying. My opinion doesn’t matter. If someone read this I would probably be shot dead or taken hostage by hippies and forced to snort the crazy drugs that make them so looney. I will keep my opinions to myself I this dear diary and pray that Nixon ends this crazy movement.
